Iran is willing to resume atomic discussions with the United States as long as it is handled with "respect" and "respect", Tehran's foreign minister has stated.

Abbas Araghchi stated exclusively dialogue produced results, and shared fresh requests had come from go-betweens to resume talks with the Trump administration. He said Iran had zero undeclared nuclear sites, and Iran could not yet permit the UN nuclear inspectorate to visit struck enrichment centers for safety concerns.

Navigating a Challenging Route

Araghchi is navigating a challenging course since Iran aims to avoid be perceived to be operating from a situation of disadvantage, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had come out stronger militarily and emotionally from the Israeli-US attack on its enrichment centers in June.

He was talking at a security conference in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to enrich uranium on home soil that it will perpetually retain" – the primary cause of the impasse in the prior discussions.

Earlier Negotiations Suddenly Terminated

The previous five rounds of talks between the United States and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and bitter end on 12 June when the Israeli government, with Washington's assistance, attacked Tehran's atomic facilities in a 12-day war that ended with the US president asserting the facilities had been eliminated. Following this, Western states employed their privilege to reimpose international penalties, but Iran insists they have not had a substantial consequence.

Ideal Resolution Suggested

Iranian officials stated they felt they had achieved a "ideal resolution" to the nuclear fuel concern in earlier negotiations, when it was decided an domestic cooperative with Washington's engagement could enrich uranium. Each party would have been able to claim victory since home-based processing would have persisted and the US could be certain that Iran's nuclear programme was solely for peaceful purposes.

It had not been decided in the negotiations that US nuclear scientists could work within Iranian territory, but that was a natural consequence of the consortium proposal. Representatives stated repeatedly they had secured an understanding with Washington's diplomat the US official only for the deal to fall apart due to "opponents in the US".

Current Situation

Tehran representatives stated the partnership proposal was now no longer available, but it seems highly likely the proposal could be resurrected in certain ways if negotiations resume.

The American leader in recent days said he had been obtaining communications that Iran desired to restart talks, but in private Tehran representatives say they are not yet obtaining clear proposals from America either explicitly or from significant local go-betweens, such as Qatar, the Egyptian leadership, the Omani authorities and Saudi Arabia. The Iran's state department has been accused of passivity in the wake of Trump's direct instinctive approach, but Tehran asserts negotiations is not part of a spectacle.

Diplomatic Position

In his speech to the gathering, designed to paint the US as a dominant force that abuses the concept of worldwide standards, Araghchi stated the two-week conflict revealed the conflict could not be ended by military means. He asserted the attacks started with a US demand for an unconditional Iranian surrender and ended with an absolute demand for a truce.

Iran is convinced the initial Israeli attacks were mounted with full US knowledge and coordination, making faith challenging to restore.

The foreign minister declared: "It was not Iran that had abandoned negotiations; it was America and the western countries that had always attempted to enforce their will during the negotiations. Diplomacy can still be viable and remains the primary solution to address disagreements, but its standards, rules and fundamentals must be adhered to."

"In case they talk to the citizens of Tehran with the tone of dignity and honor, they will get a reply in the same tone."

Recovery and Recovery

In what is characterized by Tehran representatives as the battle of restoration and recovery, the foreign minister said he was confident Iran's defence capabilities "are much stronger than before 13 or 14 June of this year. Our entire military infrastructure have been rebuilt. We acquired multiple understandings from this conflict; we have identified our personal limitations and the weaknesses of the opponent."

He added: "We successfully passed this war. Our enrichment knowledge, which they aimed to eliminate, stays intact. The citizens of Tehran have grown more powerful, more integrated, and more supportive of the leadership and the nation in the face of this invasion."
